Best Business Hotel IMO - The Shay in LA

I've stayed at many nice hotels, usually focusing on the best options within the $200-$400 range and typically geared toward leisure stays. Today, I'm changing things up by sharing my experience at what I believe is the best business hotel I've ever visited.

1. Booking and Check-In Experience

We arrived early, around 9 AM, and the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They offered us multiple bottles of water and made every effort to have our room ready quickly. The check-in experience was outstanding, and I'd like to highlight the lobby, which doubles as a very pleasant workspace.

2. Room Quality

The room was sufficiently spacious, and the balcony was a great addition, even though it didn't offer much of a view. I truly appreciated the ample space, which made it easy to either work or relax comfortably. The bathroom stood out because it was both spacious and impeccably clean.

3. Amenities and Facilities

The gym was excellent, with a modern vibe—ideal for a workout before starting your business day. There's also a small rooftop pool, perfect for relaxing after a long day, although its size might give you second thoughts. Alternatively, you can unwind in the gaming area or at the pool table located on the first floor, accompanied by a welcoming bar. The entertainment options provided by the hotel were a delightful bonus, leaving no room for disappointment.

Night cityscape with illuminated buildings and hills in the background. Lights from windows and distant city enhance the calm, serene mood.

4. Dining Experience

We experienced their complimentary breakfast. While it wasn't extraordinary, it was satisfactory for hotel standards. However, it wasn't memorable in terms of food quality. The atmosphere, on the other hand, was quite pleasant.

5. Staff and Service

Every member of the hotel staff—from the front desk and valet to housekeeping—was polite, helpful, and professional. Their excellent service allowed us to remain focused on our work without any distractions.

6. Location and Accessibility

This hotel sits in an ideal location in Culver City, close to numerous business complexes and areas. Whether you're in tech, finance, or attending a conference, this hotel's location is definitely advantageous.

7. Value for Money

Overall, The Shay in LA was excellent, reflecting good value for the money spent. However, it’s important to note that this hotel is quite expensive—one of the priciest Hyatt properties in the Los Angeles area. While the experience was fantastic, knowing you could get a significantly better hotel for the same price in other countries might make you reconsider the overall value.

Conclusion for The Shay in LA

I believe this is the finest hotel you'll find aside from those offering extreme luxury. It's located in a safer area compared to downtown, yet it's still conveniently close. I truly adore this place and the experience it offers. If you're the hotel manager at the Shay, I would be delighted to return and promote this hotel further.
